In a short while, the season of advent will be upon us!
In these very troublesome times, I have decided to republish some material that I wrote some time ago!
First up will be 3 blogs about Jesus teaching on prayer in the first 3 gospels. These each now have an audio file to make it easier on my Norwegian readers.
Then will follow 5 blogs on texts in the Bible commonly read by Christians in the Christmas season. They are about the coming of the Messiah. These also now will have audio files attached!
I want to encourage all my readers living through these times to spend time in the Bible.
Everything around us is uncertain and shakeable. In contrast, we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken (Heb. 12,28).
As Christians we walk by faith and not by sight to quote Paul (2 Cor. 5,7). Reading, reflecting on – wrapping our hearts, minds and imaginations around God´s word, helps us to focus not on what is seen, but what is unseen, what is eternal (2 Cor 4,18).
There is no substitute for personal interaction with biblical texts – by doing so, you open up yourself to the Power of God in your life; to do you good, to teach you and to encourage you.
If you want to learn more about the birth narratives in the gospels, about the Word made flesh, and about Messianic prophecy; how we can understand and interpret, then I encourage you to read my blogs.
My hope and prayer is that they also will be a blessing to you!
Throughout November the above mentioned blogs will be published on Fridays at 13.00 hrs.
When we get to December, publishing will be on Fridays and on Mondays at 13.00 hrs.
In addition to these planned publications, there may also be others throughout the period up until Dec. 25th!
Be blessed!
Karl😀
