I am currently working on material for the season of Advent. I want to write texts drawing on, and focussing on the rich biblical material to do with the birth of the Christ.
The first text will be about the Messiah. Then will follow texts on Matthew and Luke’s birth narrative, ending with John 1 – the Word made flesh. All these with some relevant OT background material.
I think it is important for us to revisit this material at Christmas time – meditate on it, share it with our families, our children and our friends.
Busy this weekend, but hopefully I will publish the first text either this evening, or early this next week.
